Jess Brown-Fuller MP holds surgery for Compton and the Octagon Villages

On Saturday 16 May, residents of Compton and the Octagon Villages had the opportunity to speak directly with their MP when Jess Brown-Fuller held a constituency surgery at the Compton Parish Room. 

The surgery provided a space for constituents to raise the issues that matter most to them, with a range of local and national concerns brought to Jess's attention. 

Jess spoke to residents of Compton and the Octagon Villages at a constituency surgery held in the Compton Parish Room.

Mental health provision and support in the Chichester area was raised as a pressing issue, with residents highlighting gaps in local services and the need for greater investment in community-based care. Local bus services were also discussed, with constituents voicing concerns about connectivity and the impact of reduced routes on those without access to a car. The challenges faced by older people seeking to remain in or return to work also featured, reflecting wider concerns about economic inclusion and access to opportunity.  

Speaking after the surgery, Jess said: 

"It was wonderful to be in Compton to meet residents from across the area and to hear first-hand about the issues affecting their lives." 

"Surgeries like this are a vital part of how I represent the constituency, and every conversation helps to shape the work I do in Parliament."
