North Mundham Parish Council hosted Jess Brown-Fuller MP at North Mundham Village Hall on Saturday 10 January for a public Q&A event.
The event follows Jess’s invitation to every Parish Council across the constituency to hold an MP Q&A session or advice surgery.
The session was presided over by Annie Maclean, Chair of North Mundham Parish Council and was attended by over 30 people. Topics raised by the Council included planning and development, upcoming local government reorganisation, and pressures on local wastewater infrastructure.
For the second part of the session, members of the public had the opportunity to put questions directly to Jess. Residents raised concerns about the postponement of local elections, the upkeep and maintenance of rural highways, and concerns over the volume and speed of traffic flowing past the village primary school.
Following the event, Jess said:
"It was a pleasure to be here in North Mundham this morning to take questions from both the Parish Council and residents to hear about the issues which matter most to them.
"Making sure the work I do in Parliament reflects the views of constituents is essential to me, and being an accessible MP is a top priority. I am looking forward to attending similar events into the New Year and beyond.
"I would like to thank everybody at North Mundham Parish Council for helping to facilitate this community event."
This Q&A session is the first of the New Year, and follows similar events held last year with Parish Councils across the constituency, including in Donnington, Fishbourne, Lavant, Chidham, and Compton and Up-Marden.
