Over the summer parliamentary recess, Jess Brown-Fuller, MP for Chichester, held a series of wellbeing walks across the constituency, giving residents the chance to meet their MP in a more relaxed setting than a formal advice surgery or Q&A session.
The walks took place at Fishbourne Harbour (from Fishbourne to Dell Quay), along Centurion's Way to Lavant, on Selsey Beach, and along Chichester Canal to Hunston. This allowed Jess to meet residents from across the Chichester constituency, to enjoy some fresh air and gentle exercise while discussing the issues that matter to them.
Speaking after the walks, Jess Brown-Fuller MP said:
"I’m so glad constituents took the opportunity to join me for wellbeing walks across the summer. The format of an advice surgery or a public Q&A session will not suit every constituent and I want to make sure I am accessible to everybody, not just those that reach out via email.
These walks gave me the chance to hear from people who may not have otherwise got in touch, across different parts of the constituency. The walks have been both enjoyable and a valuable opportunity to hear about the issues impacting our communities, and I'd like to thank everyone who came along and shared their time and their views with me."
