Jess Brown-Fuller, MP for Chichester, recently attended Christian Youth Enterprises (CYE) to celebrate the amazing work of the adventure-based charity. Located in Chidham, CYE runs camps for children, families and schools, providing outdoor learning opportunities with a focus on personal development and teamwork, rooted in faith.
In the glorious spring weather, Jess was given a tour of the facilities, meeting staff and students and seeing first-hand the organisation’s work supporting young people through outdoor education.

Jess was also given a short boat tour of the harbour, during which she watched pupils from Chidham Primary School taking part in activities including rafting and kayaking. She also had an opportunity to join staff and students for a community lunch.
Speaking after the visit, Jess said:
“I loved my visit to CYE, a brilliant organisation that I know has benefited many across our community for years. It was fantastic to see first-hand the positive impact they are having on young people in and around Chichester.
“At a time when we are constantly discussing the effect of children spending too much time on their screens or on social media, opportunities like this are a reminder of the benefits of outdoor activity and fun.
“CYE gives children the chance to build confidence, develop new skills and spend time outdoors, something I am certain they will continue to do for many years to come.”
