The MP for Chichester recently visited Thesis Technology, a UK-based medical manufacturer founded in 1994, to meet staff and learn more about the company’s role in supporting patients and the NHS through innovative, home-grown manufacturing.
During her visit to the Bosham-based factory, Jess met with Managing Director Ana Palmer and the team to gain insight into the company’s specialist work in medical plastics and textiles.
Thesis Technology operates from a single UK site and is best known for its LimbO waterproof protectors, designed to cover plaster casts and dressings, enabling users to bathe or shower while keeping medical equipment dry. In addition, the company manufactures a range of hairdressing and barbering gowns and collars.

Jess learned more about Thesis Technology’s specialist expertise across plastics and textiles - the company has extensive experience in product development, alongside a textiles operation delivered to world-class standards.
The visit built on earlier discussions between Jess and Ana Palmer, who previously met in 2025. Those conversations focused on decarbonising the NHS supply chain, Net Zero requirements for suppliers, and the challenges UK manufacturers face when competing against cheaper copy products imported from China.
Jess Brown-Fuller reflected on the visit, saying:
“It was fantastic to visit Thesis Technology and see first-hand the skill, innovation, and commitment that goes into UK medical manufacturing. Companies like Thesis play a vital role in supporting the NHS and improving patient care, yet too often face unfair competition from cheaper imports. If we are serious about strengthening our supply chains, meeting our Net Zero commitments, and backing British industry, we must ensure small and medium-sized manufacturers have the support they need to thrive.”
Ana Palmer, Managing Director of Thesis Technology, added:
“We were thrilled to welcome Jess to our company today and delighted to have the opportunity to showcase UK manufacturing and the dedication of our excellent workforce. Small businesses like ours have faced significant challenges over the last few years and now, more than ever, we need support from the government. SMEs are the lifeblood of this country and yet there is still an over-reliance on cheap, imported products. Having Jess take an active interest in our company shows her recognition of these issues and is hugely appreciated.”
In 2020, Thesis Technology was awarded FSB Family Business of the Year for the South East, reflecting its long-standing contribution to UK manufacturing and innovation.
