On Friday 24 April, Jess Brown-Fuller visited Launchpad, an alternative provision based at the Lavant House site in Lavant. The small site is provided by Bishop Luffa School, helping young students to thrive in a bespoke setting and find success in education.
The Launchpad is a pilot scheme developed by Bishop Luffa Learning Partnership in partnership with Lavant House and Launchpad Charitable Trust. Combining classroom-based learning, outdoor education and high-quality vocational training, the programme is designed for young people who have struggled in mainstream schooling, giving them the chance to begin planning for a more positive future.

The visit included a tour of the site, followed by a question-and-answer session with students, who raised issues such as local transport and healthcare services, as well as potential future career paths into politics.
Following the visit, Jess Brown-Fuller said:
"It was a privilege to spend time with the students at Bishop Luffa Launchpad today and to hear about their experiences first-hand. What this programme is doing, helping our young people thrive and feel hopeful about their futures, is exactly the kind of provision our community needs more of.
These students have so much to offer, and it was genuinely inspiring to see the difference that the right support can make. I will continue to champion initiatives like this, and to make the case that investing in all our young people, including those who find mainstream environments challenging, is one of the most important things we can do."
