On 12 June 2026, Jess Brown-Fuller joined local business people at the Chichester Enterprise Centre for a coffee morning drop-in, hearing first-hand about the challenges and opportunities facing businesses across the constituency.
Conversations covered a range of issues including skills and training, local employment opportunities, infrastructure pressures, and concerns around social media use among under-16s. The discussion around social media comes as the Liberal Democrats have called for a harms-based approach to social media access, with some being restricted based upon the risk they pose to young people.

The hospitality sector featured prominently, with owners raising the pressures of rising costs, staffing shortages, and the difficulty of attracting and retaining skilled workers: challenges which attendees were keen to see given greater attention in Westminster.
Following the event, Jess Brown-Fuller MP said:
"Events like this give me a much clearer picture of what's really happening on the ground than anything I hear in Westminster. There is real talent and ambition in Chichester, and my job is to make sure the barriers standing in the way of that growth are heard and acted upon."
Jess would like to thank Basepoint at the Chichester Enterprise Centre for hosting and for providing such a welcoming space for these conversations to take place.
