Jess Brown-Fuller has written to David Wilson Homes after learning that the developer is advertising open days at the Fossil Bay development on Clappers Lane in Earnley, despite ongoing sewage capacity issues.

Jess said she was shocked to discover the open days had been advertised, with one resident who enquired being told that occupation could begin just four to six weeks afterwards.

In her letter, Brown-Fuller warned that developers should not be pre-empting planning decisions, and that both existing and future residents need confidence that local infrastructure can support the development, something there is currently no evidence to support. Jess has continued to stress that developers must respect the planning process.

She has asked David Wilson Homes to clarify what work has been carried out to address the sewage capacity issues, and whether a concrete date has been set for the Fossil Bay development to be discussed at a planning committee.
